ACUPUNCTURE

Unlike most typical acupuncture treatments where the acupuncturist inserts needles and quickly leaves the room, Angela spends the entire first half of the session with you; reviewing your progress, reassessing your needs and then supporting you with adjunct treatments such as: massage, energy work, cupping, moxibustion, talking, and so on. Then for the second half, Angela leaves you to relax deeply listening to soothing music on a warm table so the acupuncture magic can happen! You'll rest knowing that you have Angela's full attention and care, you don't need to feel rushed.

Only sterile, single-use, disposable, hair-thin needles are used to ensure patient comfort. Points are chosen to best help each person's unique constitution and ailments. A smooth flow of energy is created to restore balance and harmony, allowing the body to heal itself. And allowing you to feel whole again. Don't like needles? Check out the Chi Kung Medical Healing option below.

At the end of your treatment, Angela will take time to share her recommendations for: lifestyle adjustments; ergonomic changes for work and sleep; herbs; supplements; stretching (yoga); as well as other natural and free ways to help your conditions based on her 20+ years of study and practice in the natural healing arts.

Initial visits are approximately 90 minutes during which a complete review of your health history is completed and a full treatment is given. $160

Follow-up treatments are approximately 60 minutes and include cupping, moxibustion, e-stim, massage, etc. as needed for maximum benefit, at no extra cost. $120

CHI KUNG is The Art of Energy Cultivation

Chi Kung medical healing is a needle-free, hands-on treatment that helps balance your energy system allowing body, mind and spirit to heal itself. Results can be similar to acupuncture treatments. Sessions are performed with the patient lying down and fully clothed.

Private Chi Kung exercise instruction is also available. Gentle exercises that can improve your health and well being are taught. Increases in energy, relaxation, mental clarity and flowing emotions are some of the positive benefits of practicing, even for short periods of time. Join alone or with a friend!

HERBAL MEDICINE

Carefully chosen herbs and supplements specific to your condition can enhance progress in between acupuncture treatments. The synergy of their use can help improve ailments faster. Most patients prefer to take herbs in convenient pill form. Teas and tinctures are also available.

Meet Angela

Meet Angela Grasso, Natural Health Specialist

For over 20 years, Angela has focused on the practice, study and education of integrative health and well-being. Her passion for creating health from within (without harsh side effects), have led her to treat people using her knowledge of Acupuncture, Chinese and Western Herbal Medicine, Medical Chi Kung, Massage Therapy and Yoga.

From this experience Angela knows the importance of really getting to know and listening to her patients. The first half of your hour-long treatment is spent face-to-face, reviewing your progress, reassessing your needs and supporting you with adjunct treatments such as massage, energy work, cupping, moxibustion, etc. You can be at ease knowing that you have her full attention and care. For the remainder of the session, you will be left to relax deeply while the acupuncture magic happens! Session are so much more than placing the needles and disappearing!

Angela’s understanding of the body, mind and spirit as one inseparable unit enables her to work with all levels of a patient’s health journey: from the physical of pain management, athletic performance and every stage of women’s health, to the mental healing from insomnia, trauma, anxiety and depression, to the spiritual sense of well-being that comes from knowing that you are on the right path in life.

She completed her Master’s degree (four years / 3,000+ hours) in Acupuncture and Certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Academy of Five Element Acupuncture. She has maintained an ongoing study and practice of Chi Kung as taught by James MacRitchie and Robert Peng. She holds a certificate in Western Herbal Medicine from the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine and received her Massage Therapy certification from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy. In addition to being a perpetual student, she has also been a teacher, clinic supervisor, school owner and administrator at both Chinese Medicine and Massage Therapy schools.

Angela is able to whole-heartedly offer patient care based on her first-hand experience of the effectiveness of integrative health care. She has been using nutrition, living in harmony with the seasons, exercise, herbal medicine, supplements, massage and, of course, acupuncture to stay well for as long as she can remember. She is excited to help both first time patients and acupuncture ‘devotees’ with improving their energy so that they can improve their life!

I look forward to meeting you and addressing your unique health care needs!

Each year, a portion of Angela's proceeds from her work in the healing arts is given to organizations that help people and the planet. These organizations may vary from year to year, but two staples have been World Central Kitchen and One Tree Planted.

Angela is a member of the Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY) and credentialed with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
